Dyersville to Bellevue – 56.6 miles

Woke up to very damp, moist surroundings.  Ask Bill about his 3:00 a.m. trip through the sopping wet grass to the kybos.  Had to loosely bag up our tents again and will air dry them in Wisconsin when we get to Ed's sister's house, Pat.

Ed and Bill departed for the first leg of the ride about 7:30 a.m.  They spent the next 45 minutes across the street at a fast food restaurant with golden arches, not naming names, waiting for breakfast with lots of other bicyclists.

I arrived in the Meeting Town of Cascade and took off for the last leg of the trip to Bellevue at 9:00 a.m.  When Bill and Ed arrived in Cascade they enjoyed walking tacos and apple pie ala mode.

Using Ed’s GPS they located themselves in a prime location to connect with Helen for the final ride together down to the Mississippi River for the traditional dipping of the front tire. With a mixture of joy and sadness this concluded our monumental bike ride across Iowa.  BIKES FOR SELL!!!  Just joking.
